CHITO Varnish
quickly drying
An extremely quickly drying varnish free from solvents for all painting purposes where a careful, traditional linseed oil varnishing technique lasts too long or is unnecessary. Due to the enormous water binding quality of chitosan this varnish may be painted over after 20 minutes.
Excellently tolerated by persons suffering from an allergy. Limited exterior application.
Ingredients: linseed stand oil, wood oil, wood oil stand oil, carnauba/shellac/ and beeswax, talcum, titan dioxide or soil/mineral pigments, mica, resin emulsion, chitosan, bentonite, water.
Dilution: can be diluted with Sehestedt's Chito Oil in every ratio even up to a transparent glaze.
Application: first thin coat can easily be applied on raw sanded wood but also on clean, solid old coats. After 20 minutes a second thin coat can be done. After drying the matte coat can be polished to a satin gloss finish. A matte white or colored varnish , polishable after quick drying due to its high wax content.
